The Valuator
This is a monthly publication that tracks approximately 500 stocks on a regular basis. For each stock, it gives the trend direction for each of 3 consecutive 20-day periods, the 20-day low, flags indicating where a stock is in its price cycle (eight positions are monitored including “undervalued and rising,” “undervalued and falling,” “overvalued and rising,” etc.), the estimated “fair value” based on current financial data and the relationship that has existed between this data and the price action of the stock over the years, the rate-adjusted “fair value” (how much the stock’s earnings are worth in the current interest rate environment), the PE & PEG ratios based on 1-year earnings figures that combine about 6 months past earnings with analyst-projected earnings ending about 6 months in the future (the market tends to look ahead 6 months), dividend yield, strength rank, velocity rank, and composite value rank (several valuation measurements are used in the composite valuation and the results for all stocks are ranked). One page shows the top 44 stocks in each of 7 different rankings (lowest PE, lowest PEG, most below “fair value,” “highest yield,” “highest velocity,” and so on). It also puts a star next to any stock that is undervalued, has at least 15% to go before it reaches “fair value,” and that is rising faster than half of all stocks that are rising. The Valuator has far more information than we can describe here. For details about indicators and measurements in The Valuator, click on "The Valuator" on the navigation menu (upper left side of every page on the site) and scroll down to “EXPLANATIONS.” Those who have Microsoft's Excel can download a sortable spreadsheet for The Valuator by simply clicking on a link. It is not necessary to open Excel first. The data can be sorted by different columns and/or printed. For those whose computer cannot open an Excel spreadsheet, there is a link to a page that has all the information that is in the spreadsheet but without the last column that identifies the sector or industry of each company. Data on this page cannot be sorted. However, the rows of data just below the headings can be copied and pasted into a spreadsheet of choice. Then it should be sortable. It is also possible to subscribe to a hard copy version. To subscribe to the hard copy version, payment must be made by check or money order. The annual subscription fee is $165. Click on the blue "Other Payment Methods" link higher on this page for instructions on ordering. Do NOT order it through the Web site. Web site ordering is only for when payment is made by credit card. **The security of information you send us is protected during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information you input. It is the process used by over 93% of the Fortune 500 and by the world’s 40 largest banks. You get 100% secure data transmission. |
